Hello, hello. Today I bring to you, my Halloween make-up.... Why? Because, I feel like you lovely lot would appreciate pure gore! So let's go.
I've gone for a 60's pin-up look and made her appear to have been shot and man handled quite a lot. Hence the bruising. Now this is fairly simple to recreate. Let me explain the process to you:
Firstly you need to do your make-up like a pin up, if you need help recreating that look click here, this will take you to a post i've already done on that make up.
Now you've got your basic make up done, you're going to need to apply liquid latex, you can buy that here, you're going to apply that with a normal make up sponge (preferably one you don't give a monkey's about) and stipple that onto the desired area of skin. For every layer of latex you stipple on, you're going to add a thin piece of tissue paper. This will give the effect of skin. You'll want to apply 4-5 layers of tissue. Once you've applied the tissue you want to go over it again with latex, repeat the steps until you have a sufficient amount of extra skin.
Then you're going to want to take something sharp (please be careful) and you're going to gently push under the tissue you've applied to the skin, making it look like it's been ripped. This doesn't have to be neat, the messier the better. Once you've got the effect you're looking for, you're going to take a black cream (gel eyeliner works good too) and you're going to apply this to the inside border of your hole, and also to the inside flaps. EUGH, that sounds disgusting! Then with a dark red colour (you can use lipstick) colour in the inside of the wound, mixing it with the black as you go. This will give the effect of sore skin.
Now you've got a nice looking hole in your face, body, arm, hand (etc...) you're going to want to take the same foundation you used for your make up and you're going to put this all over the outside of the hole, this will blend the tissue into the skin.
To make the skin appear irritated, you're going to want to take a matte pink shade, I used this one but you can use anything you can get your hands on. It just needs to look like an irritated skin colour. You're going to messily apply this around the wound. Make sure you blend outwards to make it appear darker around the wound and lighter as it gets further away.
Now for the fun bit. You're going to take some gel blood, you can buy it here, this will seem a bit ketchup-y but that's fine, you're going to apply this to the inside of the wound, you can get it to drip a little as well. Then taking a thicker blood I used blood paste, and applied that to the inside and dabbed gently around the outside to give it a clotted and dried up effect. I then let it drip slightly to give the effect that i'd moved around a lot while it was still bleeding, this is optional.
Then i went in with some bruising. I used cream paints for this, you can use which ever you like. I took a dark red shade and dabbed it on with my fingers using different pressures to give it different effects on the skin, then using black i blended that gently into the red, again using my fingers. Then i went in with a light blue. This would give the effect of a new bruise. I went around my cheekbone because if it was a real bruise the cheekbone would never have a bruise on it. Try and keep it as realistic as possible.
Lastly I applied a bandanna and tied it at the front, I will also be wearing a black fitted midi skirt and simple black heels with an off the shoulder tight fitted top. I'll be dressed all in black because I feel it's more Halloween-y.
